IreneJACKSONIrene Jackson, wife of Harry and formerly of Liverpool Road, Widnes, passed away peacefully of dementia at the age of 82, on 10th February 2021 at Whiston Hospital. The funeral service to celebrate Irene's life was held at St Michael's C of E Church on Friday, 5th March followed by cremation at Widnes Crematorium. This was a beautiful, respectful occasion as per her wishes. Irene, was a truly happy, beautiful, funny and hard-working mum, wife and Nana with much loved friends and neighbours. Les Moss officiated the ceremonies with the hymns, Amazing Grace and I Watch the Sunrise in the Church. The eulogy, by Kathy, portrayed the adventurous and happy life, full of love, that Irene had, making so many life-long friends, and always with a sense of humour. Elaine read John: Chapter 35-40, a tribute to Irene's love for making sure nobody she knew was ever left hungry, thirsty or cast aside. Al Martino's, Blue Spanish eyes played Irene in to the Crematorium with her children and grandchildren by her side. Lucy and Amanda read a poem each and her finale was her favourite song Welcome to my World by Jim Reeves. The family would like to give special thanks to all those who attended her funeral, for the numerous sympathy cards, Mass cards and kind words received. The generous donations to the Poppy Appeal and to the excellent Staff at Widnes Hall who have loved and cared for Irene for the past 5 years and to the special staff at Whiston Hospital who helped Irene in her last few days. Thank you to F Dooley & Son Funeral Directors, Liverpool Road, Widnes and Amore Flowers.
